Job Summary:
Holy Angels Residential Facility is in search of a Dietary Kitchen Cook/Porter to help to ensure high standards of cooking, cleanliness and sanitation are being met in the kitchen.
Specific Skills and Responsibilities
· Cook and follow menu for meal prep
· Follow health, hygiene and safety procedures in the kitchen
· Receive weekly deliveries, store, label and date items in the refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage areas
· Wash dishes and utensils operating dishwasher
· Wash pots and pans using 3 compartment sinks
· Clean and sanitize equipment on daily, weekly, and monthly schedule
· Sweep and mop kitchen floors daily and as needed
· Sweep and mop dining room daily and as needed
· Clean spills as they occur
· Deliver food to designated areas
· Move heavy objects and equipment
· Keep food and supply storage areas clean and organized
· General and heavy cleaning of the kitchen
· Performs all other duties as requested by the Dietary Manager
Qualifications:
· Must be able to communicate with other Dietary Cooks
· Must have 1-5 years’ experience cooking in a kitchen, industrial facility preferred
· Must maintain a current and valid driver’s license to drive for Holy Angels
Education:
· GED or High School Diploma Required
· ServSafe Certification a plus
Work Environment:
· Must be able to work with individuals with developmental disabilities
Physical Demands:
· Walk, stand, sit, push, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, use hands and lift up to 50lbs, 2/3’s of the time
