We are currently searching for a highly motivated Real Estate Specialist to join our West Gulf Region in our Shreveport, LA office.
What you’ll be doing:
Setting up and maintaining all right-of-way files (physical and electronic),
Continual project data entry
Documentation of all special conditions
Preparation and production of easements
Payment schedules
Informational letters or packets
Other documents
Responsible for data maintenance of projects:
Generating accurate reports
Data merges to external documents using mail merge capabilities
Performing quality control checks
Peer data reviews
Prepare and review reports involving
Ownership information
Status of acquisition processes
Special conditions
Contacts with Right-of-Way Agents and landowners
Payments made
Damage settlements
Other pertinent data
Review legal documents to ensure that all have been properly executed and notarized
Review check requests for accuracy and proper paperwork
Prepare checks
Replenishment requests
Maintain ledger
Complete reconciliation reports
Any other duties required for the maintenance of a client escrow account
Maintain document tracking system for all legal documents
Prepare and send for recording
Ensure all pages and exhibits are correct and accounted for
Ensure the documents are properly notarized and executed by all necessary parties
Perform internal and external project closeout duties
Database quality checks and updates
Document uploads
Ensure all missing data is accounted for and entered/uploaded to internal and external database systems
What you need to have:
Experience in the Real Estate or Utility industry
Real Estate legal experience highly preferred
Ability to read and interpret title commitments and right of way plats/plans
Experience with Microsoft Office Products
Exceptionally detail-oriented
Excellent data entry skills and proficiency to learn new systems and processes
Excellent time management skills
Excellent organizational skills
